Doctor Update

{via}
Yesterday I went to the doctor for a check-up and to discuss our infertility issues.  Due to my inability to become pregnant on Clomid, I have been referred to our local infertility clinic which equals more $$.

To say that this new development is upsetting is an understatement. I guess naively, I thought we could get pregnant the old fashion way but that does not appear to be the case. Our appointment with the specialist is November 14th and so I have a little bit of hope that the procedures they’ll suggest is something we can afford.

  1. I know this will turn out well for you eventually, but it is so hard to be patient. Good luck!

  2. As an infertility veteran, I can relate. The usual next step is injectible meds with IUI. Depending on your insurance, the price varies. You are looking at probably several days of injections, daily bloodwork and ultrasounds, and then the insemination.

    Let me know if you have questions. I have done this MANY times.
