Yard Sale

{via}
 Thank you all for your kind comments about the Con Artists situation. It feels like I've been dealing with this for months and not just a week.

In all of this uproar, Mr. M and I had committed with two other couples to have our annual Yard Sale this past Saturday. We've done it for four years and since we needed the money towards our debt snowball, we decided not to cancel.

You can tell that people are worried about their financial future this year compared to last three. Mr. M made fun of me for a having a nickel box this year and all of those items sold. No one really looked at our furniture but focused more on the clothes.

We did not a make as much as we had in precious years but we did make something towards our debt snowball. Yeah for a little snowflake!

  1. I would like to have a yard sale but we never do well and it is so much work. So I don't know. I will really start cleaning around here and see. Sorry about your situation with your dad. So hard.

  3. @ Out of My Window - I took a day in the spring to price everything and divided the items into boxes (10 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents and so on). Then I stored them in our shed. That way when anyone ever mentions having a yard sale, I'm ready.

    @urban simplicity - Thank you!
